Zsolt Benedek & J.M.Fitz-Gerald founded Pegasus in 1984 as a full service financial planning company. Designed to be an independent Insurance and Investment Brokerage firm serving the greater Toronto Area.

Zsolt Benedek

Born and educated in Budapest Hungary, Zsolt came to Canada in 1966 and entered into the Investment business in 1970 as a Mutual Funds Agent. He joined Crown Life in 1971 and formed the Pegasus Group partnership in 1984 with J.M.Fitz-Gerald . He is licensed in both Life Insurance and Mutual Funds. During his career Zsolt has successfully completed numerous courses to improve his capacity to serve his clients. The Canadian Investment Funds Course, The Canadian Securities Course, and the Professional Financial Planning Course, to mention a few. In his leisure time Zsolt enjoys Outdoor activities, Music And Wine making.

J. Michael Fitz-Gerald

J.M.Fitz-Gerald entered the insurance business in 1980 with Crown Life, during his first years placed second runner up for Canada in the companies career development program. As a result was invited to act as advisor to Crown Life employees. In 1984 together with Mr. Zsolt Benedek they decided to form a more independent progressive type of financial firm " Pegasus Group " With a focus on integrated financial planning. Mr. Fitz-Gerald has served on the Agent advisory board in product and service development for a major Canadian Insurer. He is a graduate of the Financial Planning Skills Course as offered by the Life Underwriter Association Of Canada, and is currently enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner Course working towards the CFP designation. He currently lives in Uxbridge ON with his wife Sinikka. His interests include Music, Antiques, Sailing and Motorcycling.
